Be a BIG...

Make a Friend - Make a Difference

School-Based Youth Mentoring

Be a positive role model...

Bigs & Littles promotes the healthy development of disadvantaged youth ages 9-12 by matching them one to-one with positive adult role models who guide them in developing social-emotional skills necessary to succeed in school and life.

You have what it takes to be a Big...

if you would enjoy:

• Supporting and encouraging a child

Developing a one-to-one relationship with a child

• Helping a child develop new skills

• Having fun!

if you are:

• Responsible, reliable and committed

• Open-minded and caring

• A good listener

Volunteer to be a mentor to a 4th, 5th, or 6th grade student and join other Bigs in a group setting with Littles at their school where they can develop supportive friendships and interact in fun games and activities that build healthy communication and leadership skills.

You don't have to change YOUR life

to change THEIRS...

90 minutes a week makes a Big difference.

  • As a Big, you will meet with the same child once a week in a group setting
  • You and your Little will have opportunities to interact one-to-one, with other matched pairs, and with the entire group
  • We provide a variety of games and activities for you and your Little to learn from and enjoy

We do the planning so you and your Little can enjoy your time spent together

Who are Littles?

  • Children between the ages of 9-12 attending a Cincinnati Public School
  • Students who have been identified as needing the extra support that a consistent, adult friend can provide
  • Children facing extra challenges such as poverty, being raised by a grandparent or other relative, or in a family that’s been resettled to the United States from another country

Littles need you to be their role model, their caring friend...their Big.
