How long have you lived in Cincinnati?

I've lived in Cincinnati my entire life. I grew up in Madeira. After graduating from Madeira HS, I went to Ohio State, and a few years after that was set up on a blind dad with my husband, Scott, which brought me right back to Cincinnati where I have been living ever since. We have three daughters, Lilly, Phoebe & Maggie.

What about your volunteer history?

Both of my parents (as well as my in-laws) have always been active in non-profit, charitable work. So shortly after I married Scott in 2000, it was only natural to do my part where I could. I have worked with many different organizations over the years, and anything having to do with animals or children really tugs at my heart strings and motivates me to do what I can to help.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include tennis, coaching youth lacrosse, needlepoint, kayaking, spending time with my girls, and caring for our (mostly rescued) collection of pets!

What’s your best dancing asset?

Jazz Hands of course!

What inspired you to dance for Jewish Family Service?

The opportunity to embarrass my daughters. AND the chance to help JFS with their mission of helping others.

What don't we know about you that would make someone want to support you?

I honestly think that most people would rather support me than have their own “heads on the chopping block”,  so if they support me its a win-win!

What did your family say when you told them you were dancing?

“Oh mom! Don’t be offended, but do we have to go?”

Thank you so much for your generosity!

I am so excited to be a part of this fundraiser for Jewish Family Service and appreciate your support!

Go Team Amy!

Amy Rubenstein is raising money for Jewish Family Service of Cincinnati by competing in the 2018 Dancing with our Stars gala on November 3, 2018. Your support helps strengthen lives in times of need.

Jewish Family Service, a 501(c)3 non-profit agency, strengthens lives of people in times of need by providing social services that guide them along their road to stability, self-reliance, and personal growth.

Your support helps us promote stability and wellness to families experiencing hunger and mental illness; mentor youth toward reaching their highest potential in school and life; and assist older adults with the help they need to manage their independence and live the best quality life possible.
