Tell us a little about yourself
I am from Cincinnati and a Sycamore High School alum. I graduated from The Ohio State University and after college lived in Chicago for five years. I then moved to New Jersey to be with my now husband, Josh. While living in New Jersey, Josh and I got married, I started working at Avon Products Inc (now New Avon) and began pursuing a Masters Degree at NYU. After a second stint in Chicago, we decided to move to Cincinnati with our daughter, Evelyn. Our second daughter, Samantha, was born a few months after we moved. We've now been here three years, and are loving being home. I've come full circle --- our home in Blue Ash is just 12 houses from where I grew up!
What is your profession?
I have spent my career as a human resources professional, starting in talent acquisition and expanding to all other areas of HR. For the last 9 years, I've been with Avon and am currently the Senior Human Resources Business Partner based in Springdale.
What is your volunteer history?
I always have enjoyed feeling connected to my community and helping where I can. I've been involved in many volunteer activities at Sycamore, Adath Israel, the J, on behalf of Ohio State, and Avon's philanthropic activities. I am excited to be joining the Camp Livingston board at the end of this year.
What are your hobbies?
Hobbies?!? I have a husband, two young children, and work full time, so I have little free time. I love spending time with family, trying new restaurants with friends, reading, cheering for the Buckeyes, reality TV, and traveling.
What is your best dancing asset?
I'm not afraid to go for it!
What inspired you to dance for Jewish Family Service?
Admittedly this is my reality dream come true - I have always wanted to be on DWTS and I think this is the closest I'll come! In all seriousness, helping to raise funds for and awareness of the great work Jewish Family Service does for the greater community inspired me. The wide-range of services JFS provides to so many is incredible.
What don't we know about you that would make someone want to support you?
I love to dance and what better way to do it than in connection with raising money for a great organization!
What did your family say when you told them you were dancing?
"It's so you"
